John has\u00a0over forty\u00a0years’\u00a0experience as a clinician, educator and writer. He is a popular lecturer and public speaker, often speaking on topics related to his books on medicine, primary care, medical education, reflective practice and medical humanities, as well as the wide variety of related subjects he covers in his fortnightly column in the BMJ.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Live and online talks John has given during 2025-6 include the Medical Society of London, the Harveian Society, the Veterinary Specialists Assocation, the Sudanese-British Primary Care Association and the Tokyo Institute of Science.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
